Our Summer
Youth Camps are designed to
introduce kids aged 6-14 to the
exciting sport of fencing. Often
called a physical game of chess,
fencing develops endurance,
coordination, agility, poise and
balance. While fencing is a physical
sport, it is also a mental game
developing concentration and problem
solving.
Each 5-day session is designed to
help beginning to intermediate youth
fencers learn the basics or improve
their skills. Camp will include
warm-up games, footwork, agility and
coordination development, fencing
instruction, bouting and fencing
games.
All equipment and protective gear is
provided in the camp fees. Students
should wear a t-shirt, long pants
such as sweats or athletic warm-ups
and clean-soled athletic shoes with
laces. Please bring a sack lunch and
water bottle.
