2024 LEAVING THE NEST SENIORS
Kate Andrews took a trial lesson at NWFC as soon as she was old enough. After a long hour fencing much taller kids Simon suggested waiting until she had grown a bit – but on the way home all she wanted to talk about was the toe touch she had scored. She started with foil in 2016 and later switched to epée. She stuck with it as her schedule got busier, even fencing with her brother in their cul de sac to stay in shape during the pandemic.
Kate will take her fencing bag along when she heads east to Penn, Princeton, or Chicago in the fall.
